Translation

Translation is the process by which the mRNA is used to assemble amino acids into a specific protein. This stage takes place in the cell's cytoplasm at the ribosomes. Transfer RNA (tRNA) molecules bring the amino acids to the ribosome, where they are linked together according to the mRNA sequence.

tRNA

tRNA molecules contain a specific anticodon sequence that matches the codons on the mRNA. This allows the tRNA to deliver the correct amino acid to the ribosome during protein synthesis. The ribosome then catalyzes the formation of peptide bonds between the amino acids, creating a growing polypeptide chain.
